This course incorporates basic craning with the following topics: Terms and definitions, principles of operation, set-up, basic rigging, and oiling with practical exercise and seat time. We have a good fleet of cranes ranging in size and an abundance of practical exercises. A strong emphasis will be placed on maintenance, inspection, set-up, and operational safety.

Course Objective

Learn basic crane terminology, principles of operation, hand signals, maintenance, pre-shift inspection, setup, erecting (in proper sequence), reeving, and gain some experience in the seat of both lattice and telescopic type cranes.

Equipment Required: Hardhat, safety vest, work clothes, work boots
