40 Hour Hazmat

Certification Course One Week Courses Required in the First Year

Total Hours: 40

Provides basic information needed to protect HAZWOPER site workers from health, physical, and biological hazards. This course meets the requirements of OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120 (Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response) and OSHA 29 CFR 1910.146 (Permit Required Confined Space). Instruction is a combination of both hands-on and classroom instruction.

PLEASE READ! NATIONAL POLICY CHANGES

The current standard regarding the re-certification of your HAZMAT requires that you complete the re-certification within 30 days of expiration on the front of your card. Example: Your certification expires on Jan. 1, 2017. You must complete a refresher BEFORE Jan. 31, 2017.

Course Objective

Instruct in the four levels of protection used on Hazmat jobs along with State and Federal regulations and comprehensive practical exercises.

Equipment Required: Hardhat, safety vest, work clothes, work boots.
